Live Jazz Tonight is a Muncie-based band featuring veteran drummer Charlie Owen (from left), vibraphonist Tim Van Cleave, pianist Dr. Phil Cooley, and Paul Rhine on double-bass and flute. Repertoire includes tunes by John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Modern Jazz Quartet and original compositions by Paul Rhine.

Upcoming gigs: Every Saturday 9 p.m. to midnight at "Motini's," above the MT Cup in the Village in Muncie. Friday, March 12 and 26, "White River Landing," 6:30-9:30 on Charles Street in Muncie Friday, March 5 and March 19, "2 Johnny's," 7-10 p.m. on Charles Street in Muncie. The band performs every other Friday at this popular restaurant venue. Sunday, March 7, 2:30 to 4 at Kennedy Library on McGalliard in Muncie. Other gigs to be announced.
